Fremont High School Theater presents “Out of the Frying Pan” on Thursday May 5, Friday May 6, and Saturday May 7 on the Main Stage.
The comedy “Out of the Frying Pan” tells the story of young actors looking for their first big break in New York City. Out of economic neccessity, they share an apartment strategically located directly above the apartment of a Broadway producer. Their plan is to lure him up to their apartment to witness first hand their talents with the hope he will cast them all in his next play.

Fremont John’s show will feature a full-band sound and beautiful vocal harmonies in a variety of formats that include solo, duo, trio and full-band arrangements. The songs carry great lead-ins, catchy melodies and infectious hooks. His lyrics bring a powerful message that inspires all who hear the songs, that it is never too late to live your dream.
In his show at the Dogwood Center, Fremont John will feature a group of seasoned musical pros, including Mike Luusua on keyboards, Jason “Harvey” Hargreaves on bass, Mike Carden on Drums and percussion, and the dynamic bac-up vocals of Michelle Kiessel, Charlotte Betka, John Dement and Jim Frost, in a variety of formats that include solo, duo, trio and full band arrangements.
Appearing as “special guests” will be 16 year-old guitar phenomenon Alica Venchuk (rated #1 High School Blues/Jazz guitarist in Michigan) and popular Key West singer Dora Gholson.
Fremont John’s songs are Acoustic Rock for people with life experience. He serves up a melodic insight into what is really important in our lives. The songs bring to light real stories everyone can relate to. Often autobiographical in nature, Fremont John reminds us that it is truly important to follow that inner voice.
